SYDNEY SMITH, born 1888, my grandfather, married my grandmother, Gladys, in 1915 in Huddersfield. They separated in 1923 and there was never any future contact. He possibly moved to Manchester.At the time he had been working in a tailors shop. He may have been born in the U.S.A. HIs father, Levi, is reputed to have gone out to the Gold Rush. Does anyone have information? |

My Grandmother Ellen Emily Smith a Midwife (born 1883) in Yarmouth had a brother Sydney. She married my Grandfather George David in Tottenham N17 London approx 1912-14 and had 2 Boys George William Ernest1915, Sydney Frederick 1921 born Tottenham |
