Find Ancestors

There is a record of the christening of an Eliza Spencer in 1838, daughter of George and Anna Maria. Elizabeth's parents are also George & Anna Maria.

However, Elizabeth S[ophia] Spencer's birth is fairly consistently given in censuses as abt 1841 in Lambeth. She married John Amor late 1861. The exception is 1871, which makes her birth abt 1833!
Another researcher found her in 1841 (which I can't do on Ancestry) as an 18 month old, which makes her birth early 1839 - still too late for the 1838 4th quarter christening.
There is also a birth record of an Eliza Spencer in 4th quarter 1838 but no death recorded.
No christening on familysearch for Elizabeth.

Any ideas anyone please?

Thank you, that's a help. It's odd that they gave such similar names to their girls. Now to find out what happened to Eliza: she's not on any other censuses. I couldn't find this family in 1841 on Ancestry.

It could be the correct family in 1841 as George and his wife were not born in the county and in 1851 they are listed as born in Essex.

Perhaps the Eliza age 2 in 1841 died.

It appears from the 1861 that her sister Ann Maria was married to John Amor and Elzabeth living with them, so presume that Maria died.
