I am wanting to find further information regarding my grandmothers early years and her family. Her name was Dorothy Patricia Spencer and was born in Wolverhampton in 1925. I believe she was of irish descent and also married an older gentleman in Birmingham when she was quite young. The marriage failed and by 1946 she had met and 'married' my grandfather, with whom she emigrated in Australia in 1952. I also have been led to believe that a sister of hers ran a B&B in the Lake District, and she had a couple of brothers. Her mothers maiden name could be 'Kevilsell'. Any information would be gratefully received. |
