Looking for Yorkshire connections - the English side of the family that came out to South Australia in 1840. William Spencer, his wife Maicey (nee Cook) and their children John and his wife Dinah (RUSSELL) George, Elizabeth, Anna, Jane, William, Hannah, Cook and James arrived in 1840 from Hull, Yorkshire on the Fairlie. John and Dinah Spencer's tree was published in 1980 by O.M.Richards, but I am curious about the UK family. I am also trying to up date the Australian family events that have happened since 1980 and to get the information on John's other siblings. William was born in 1785, Maicey 1795, and they died about 10 years apart too, 26/6/1854 for William and 2/5/1864 for Maicey. |
