Taylor - policeman? Wirral

Does anyone know of a -------- Taylor, who was probably born in the 1890's and was a policeman on the Wirral, or Merseyside, in the 1920's?
Not much to go on, but it's all I have, unfortunately.

It may be worth contacting the Merseyside Police to see if they have kept records.
