i was trying to find ronald taylor born 1939 in oldham however I believe he died in 2004. He was my father and I believe I have brothers and sisters in oldham and im trying to find them. My grans name was elizabeth cooper and my grandfather was harold taylor. I was born from a relationship ronald had with my mother when he worked in scotland when he was 30. Can anyone help me

I believe I have a brother about 40 yrs old whos mother wascalled marilyn and they stayed at 38 boradale road oldham manchester

Christine, it is wise not to start new threads so that other members don't go looking for things that have already been found. All you need to do is post another message in the thread you already have, and it will pop back up to the top of the list for everyone to see again.

Before long it should be possible to search for births in the 1930s and 1940s at FreeBMD

and that way you might find brothers and sisters of Ronald. You would search for births with the surname Taylor and mother Cooper, in Oldham to start with, during that time period. If he had brothers or sisters, you might be able to find them or their families today.

Do you know whether Ronald was married to Marilyn? If not, I guess you don't know what your brother's surname would be.
