Looking for any info on WILLIAM FLANDERS TAYLOR, 1830-1912. He was my gggrandfather. He was born in Clapton, Middlesex (now London). His father was also William Flanders Taylor, but I know nothing of his mother. He married Alice Smith (1834-1922) in 1857 at West Hackney Parish Church. The witnesses to their marriage were John & Mary Ann Pink. After marriage they moved about quite a lot, mainly in Tottenham and Leyton. Alice was born in Kent St, Borough, Surrey. Alice's father was James Smith who was a Twine Spinner. William & Alice had children, ALICE (c 1858), ELIZABETH (c 1860), WILLIAM (c 1862), ELIZA (c 1867), FREDERICK 1869). Eliza was my ggrandmother. Given that there are so many Smiths and Taylors, any help would be most gratefully received! Carol Willers . |
