Dear Jeffery,my grandfather,Thomas Taylor,born 21.12,1848 at Castle Coombe,emigrated to Australia on the ship,The Emigrant.He was the first born to Henry Taylor and his wife,Hannah Taylor(nee Young) Hannah was born in Wilshire in England. Regards Ruth Barratt (nee Brown)

Hi Jeffery my great grandfather William Taylor b. 1847 came to Aust in 1879 on the Somersetshire with his wife Mary Hannah (Packer) and 2 sons, Edward b. 181876 and Rolyat b. 1878 named as William on passanger list. They settled in Melbourne and lived in the Camberwell / Hawthorn area. They had other children in Melbourne, 2 died the other 2 were, Elise b. 1885 and Minnie.b. 1887. Edward was my grandfather I never met him as he died in 1939. My mother was b. 1919. Is this of help. Regards Heather in Victoria Aust.
