Find Ancestors

Trying to find any info on George Thomas born 15/06/1912 in London
died 31/1/1980 in Victoria Australia. George was in the second world war, his wifes name was Eva they had three children Barbara, Reggie(Reginald) and Margaret. I am looking for a friend other info on the family was limited and met lots of dead ends even with help from the gene's community. Maybe I should have started at this end before!!!!

Sharon, just checking - Thomas was his surname yes? Have been caught out like this before!
if so, it is a very common name. If you are trying to find his parents we need a bit more!
Where did he and Eva marry - here or Oz?

Yes the surname is Thomas just found out some more info:
George Reginald Thomas and Eva were married 24/12/1942 at the Holy Trinity Church in Hampton Vic.
George came out to Australia on board the ship "Mahana" on the 10/11/1919 with his mother and stepfather Nathaniel Atkins.
George Reginald's father was George Fredrick Thomas(born 1870 or 1876 died 1914 during the 1st world war) and mother was Charlotte Richardson.
George Frederick Thomas's father was Thomas Thomas (apparently came from Wales??

The names are so common unfortunately it is hard to be sure, but did he have any siblings? e.g.

Charlotte Richardson was born on 18/06/1888 and died 1956 aged 68 in Collingwood??,Victoria,Australia.
The date that I gave you for George Frederick Thomas birth should have been 1885 or 1886?? because he was 28 when he died in France in the 1st world war. My friend will be getting more official documents next week so hopefully we can move forward!! Any way thanks for effort it is much apprecited.

Just a quick point - all I did was access info from Freebmd, which is easy to use and accessible to all. Invaluable for England & Wales Births, marriages and deaths 1837-30's/40's (transcribing still going on). I've rather spoiled your fun by finding this out for you!
