I am new to all this, and am trying to find relatives of my grandfather John Bibbey Thompson from Liverpool. I know his mother was called Maria but other than that I have no info. Can anyone advise me on how to get a bit further.

He was born in 1902 I think. He married someone called Nellie Leddington - I am not sure whether this was her given name or whether it was Ellen, though.
