I have traced my Great Great Grandfather John Thompson born in 1865 in the 1871 census but his parents don't appear on it. A boarder is listed as Henry Henderson. Why would they not be there? How can I go about finding them? thanks

looking at isabella maybe its a mistake on her age not sure but if the she is the mother she sure had henry when she was very young

hi this could be a possible marrige for john & isabella the reason i.m thinking its a possible is because one of the boys was called robert ascough thompson so could have been after mothers maiden name as it happend like that in them days one of the childrns birth certs would confirm this
