Trying to find one George Thompson, living in Auckland Street, Vauxhall, Lambeth, London c 1938, then aged about 20, and working as a milk-boy. Parents lived in this street but moved away, and had a brother living further down same street. Any news very gratefully received - interesting infomation available at this end!

Thanks Rose - yes, his parents lived at No 38 in the 1937 Electoral Roll and were named William Albert and Elizabeth Thompson. George was also there in 1937.
In 1936 their son (George's brother) Frederick Charles Thompson was also there but in 1937 he had moved to No 5 with his wife Maud May Thompson.
In 1939 William Albert and his wife had moved to No 22 but George had gone.
No more Electoral Rolls were done till after the War. But we have one interesting bit of info for anyone related to this family.

It might help if you know when he was born, then you can search for him in people's trees.

Rose, thank you very much for this. It looks like they are the right people. We have no other information about any of them but finding out what happened to George particularly would be of great interest to us. I'll have a look for George, born 1st qtr 1916. Meantime it would be great if someone related also found this thread.
