Find Ancestors

I am trying to find ancestors of Edwin THOMPSON born c1829 in Cranbrook, Kent.

He married Sophia MERCER, I have most of her ancestors. They had a son Edwin Henry THOMPSON b1852 in Goudhurst, Kent.

Edwin Henry (1852) married Emily ROBERTS and they had a son Edwin Henry b1879. He married Mabel BURTON PHILLIPSON. I am also looking for decendants of theirs. I know about Annie Doris b1912 (my grandmother) but are there any other children?

Other than Cranbrook and Goudhurst, the family were also in Lamberhurst and Dartford.

On another site I found some details of this family and the source was given as "Robert from Genes Reunited", so hopefully Robert is still active on GR.

Possible 1841 with parents and one grandparent? Cross check with marriage cert for fathers name?

Andy, that is a possibility and Hawkhurst isn't far from Goudhurst and Lamberhurst.

Polly Poppet, that is them. Thank you for that info.

The census was almost a year after they were married and there are no children yet. My gran was born in May 1812. So it is probable that she was the eldest child. She claimed she was an only child (and orphaned young) but I will have to wait for the 1921 Census to confirm that.
