Looking for information on parents, births deatha dn marriages related to Arthur Thompson born in Essex in c. 1857. He married Bridget Kelly from Cork, Ireland in c.1852 Not sure it's possible to get information on her parents.

Did they marry in England? Do you have their marriage certificate as that would give you her father's name. If she came over with her family they might be on an English census.

Where in Essex was Arthur born? Do you have him / her on any censuses?

Afraid I do not know where in Eseex.

Darren - what other information do you have on this couple? You must have managed to work your way back to them somehow, so where have you found them? What official documents (certificates, censuses etc) have you got?

They are my great great grandparents so the only information I really have comes from my grandmother.

You need to start with what you know and work backwards methodically in order to get the correct information. You simply cannot expect to find people by generic information which hasn't been backed up.

So, work from your grandmother backwards, verify her parents names, and their marriage, and their births and their parents, their marriage etc. It's the only way you can truly hope to be able to find the right details rather than have vague ideas and nothing concrete.

DARREN....This is the only Brid T. married to an Arther (1881)..

Darren...I wonder if this is a sister of Brid. (Plenty Kelly's in and around Bristol/Glouster) but only 1 in Horfield where the above Brid. was married...

There is a military record on Findmypast for an Arthur Thomas Thompson born circa 1845 in Great Warley, Essex.

Joined up in 1863. Next of Kin - Bridget Ann. Married Bridget Ann Kelly 15th Dec 1879 Horfield.

Yesterday I did find out that they were married in the Bristol area so that matches up. Also found out that Bridget died and is burried very near where I live. So I can try and contact the chirch and see if they know anything.

Darren....If the Daniel who married Caroline Young is the family you are looking at then the 1871/1881 Census shows them to be in Neath along with only a couple more Kelly families (Ire.) same applies for later Census but I have no access...what I suggest in the absence of any other Primary Source info.you may have is you get the MC for Daniel and Caroline and or Brid and Arthur to confirm if indeed it is the correct family...a point to note is that if Daniel and Caroline are indeed correct then either Brid .was born Stroud/Daniel had been wed before and Brid was the child of that marriage....the 1861 Census for the couple would possibly show if there is a relationship....try Neath...!
