We are searcing for the family of a Squadron Leader J. Thompson from Glenunga, South Australia but last known address was Androve, Hants. His wife's initials are F.E. An article was found along side a crashed Allied plane and next to a body, believed to be is, in Albania in either 1940 or 1941. The article was found by the son of a deceased Greek ex- serviceman and passed on to an Australian archeologist to see if a relative can be found and the article be returned. We know it's a long shot after such a a long period. It is possible that Squadron Leader J Thompson was with the Royal Air Force rather than the R.A.A.F. It is also possible that his wife is an English woman. Hope someone can help Carolyn |

the pilot shot in Albania was not Squadron Leader Thompson, he survived the war diying in Adelaide in the 1980's. The address book along with some of his other belongings had been stolen. The address book has been returned to his widow and dauhgter who live in the northern suburbs of South Australia. The uncle of the archeolgist was killed in WW2 in a Catalinas while flying to lay mines west of Fakfak & Sorong |
