Seeking information re my great grandfather Charles Thompson. He was born approx. 1854 died July 1908 in Mount Gambier, South Australia of Australia. I have conflicting stories to where he came from - English (supposedly jumped ship) or a norwegian sailor. He married Mary MacDonald in March 1886 in the township of Mount Gambier. His fathers name was Thomas Thompson Mary and Charles had a number of children: Alex, Peter, Charles, Margaret, Kate, Christina and Mary He spent some years working at the Lake Leake Station of Glencoe in South Australia and he and Mary lived at a small place called Wandilo - not far from Glencoe. I would appreciate any suggestions. Thank you Anita Koop
