Hope someone might recognise the name James Mathews THOMPSON, son of George Motley THOMPSON and Sarah (?) CRUMP. James and one of his sisters, Jane Elizabeth Minter THOMPSON were christened on 24 November 1841at Gravesend - St George. Their eldest brother was William George Motley THOMPSON (chr. 1823) Youngest of the family was Ann Sophie Brookes THOMPSON (chr. 1847). James and wife Martha HAWKINS emigrated to New Zealand in the latter part of the 19th century. Please don't hesitate if even the faintesr bell should ring! Yvonne TAYLOR in New Zealand. |
