Find Ancestors

My name is Leigh Townley, I am trying to find out as much as i can my grandfathers family. His name is Robert Thompson. All i know is what my mother has told me. She told me that his mother had the name wentworth - thompson until she married my grandfathers father. He was the youngest of 3 children his brother was called george who died when he was quite young and his sister was isabelle. They were born in Newcastle., but some of his family lived in Australia and he spend lots of time with his part of his family. My mother believes that he might have been married before being with my grandmother and also may have had a child with his wife. My grandfather had a wonderful life and died 21/10/2001. His childrens names i know of are: Robert Nicky Bernedette vanessa ( my mother ) Michelle and Stephanie I believe if my grandfather had another children that he or she might know some more of his families history than anyone else in my family.
