MY Thpmpson family appearto have been in Southill . The name being /ricgard who married an Ann Beale and apparently moved to Yelling ( Huntingdonshire) where they had several children one being a William who married a Susan Ekins from Pertenhall ( Bedfordshire they had 3 children one died but two survived the one who came to Tasmania Australia was ajames Thompson who married Ann Thimblebee.by they had 3 children arriving at Claredon ( Evandale Tasmania Australia about 1852/4 their 2nd son William married Eiza Lodge and had 5 children the youngest son Arthyr was my grandfather is son Leslie was my father I am the eldest child of the marriage my mothers name is Ada Adams Thompson she is still alive aged 88. Can any one help me find how did James and Ann arrive to V.D.L. as it was names until Tasmania tok the name instea of V.D.L. regards Judith Pitchford [email protected] |
