THOMPSON OF ECCLESTON, CHORLEY:- 1901 census:- James aged 48, Mary Ann 49, Margaret 23, Lily (my grandmother) 16, Bertha 14, John W 12, Annie 10, Elsie 6, James 2. Living on Bradley Lane, Mary Ann born Farrington (nee Connell) all the rest in Eccleston. Some older children too.
