Ruth Report 2 Feb 2008 15:43

Trying to find Frank Morris, who we believe was a sergeant in the Royal Engineers during WWI. We believe he is the father of Harold Frank Morris-Metcalf, born in Sunderland in 1915.

Morris's common law wife was Rosina Metcalf, who lived in Sunderland from around 1901 but had moved back to Bristol by 1918.

In 1915 the electoral register listed Frank Morris as resident at 14 Sunderland Street, Sunderland.

We believe he might have served in Ireland before the war and that Rosina went there with him.
