Just had a look on Scotlandspeople - there is no birth for a Catherine Susan Robertson coming up 1957-1959. What name did your mother use on her marriage certificate please?

You could order your mother's birth certificate from Scotlandspeople. This will give you her parent's names (including her mother's maiden surname) and the date and place of their marriage. Once you have her parents names you could try looking for any siblings she may have had.

You can then work forward from the addresses that they were marrried from and perhaps find your grandparents.

i have thank you and my cousin has tried to find answers but not a lot to go on really i have the year she married my dad 1977, wher and the year she was born and her name but i can find no answers it does not help my dad wont tell me anything

i am trying to find my mums family her name was catherine susan cooper- brown robertson born in lanarshire, glasgow born in 1958 thats all i know about her really not sure if thats relavent

I have a relative born Alexander Wilson born in 1862 - Mother was Mary Kane/Cain. Mary later was with a James Robertson and had several children with him.
Is there any connection with your Catherine Robertson?
