Could anyone help with a birth for Mary Ann Rouse b1794c South Walsham.
I've tried the IGI site which has a few possibilities but I doubt they are the right ones. I was hoping to find one with the parents names of Israel Rouse & Sarah.

Thanks Lorraine

I know these aren't extracted from the parish records, but this one looks as if it has been looked up.

Notice this is after when you think Mary Ann may have been born.

Thanks Valerie & Ozbird.

They are possible family. I'm actually looking for Kerenhappuch (Happy) Rouse born in Beccles 1801c.
Someone gave me possible birth details of her the other day and it stated her parents as Israel & Sarah. I think it's a different entry to the one above. I know of a definite sister Mary Ann for her so thought if I could find her birth with same parents it would confirm I had the right one.

Hi there, I know this is years on since you've posted, but were hunting for my husbands family. Mary Ann was the wife of a German Soldier buried in Pakefield Suffolk. We know they are related somehow but are trying to put it altogether! Happy was also her sister.

Welcome to the boards, Elizabeth (aka Unknown).

Would you like us to try to help?

A tree on Ancestry says Happy was Mary Ann's half-sister - though doesn't give details of any parents.

You've probably got all this below, but I'll post it just in case you haven't.

Happy was born c1802-3, if her death cert is correct:

BUTTON, HAPPY 67
GRO Reference: 1870 J Quarter in WOODBRIDGE Volume 04A Page 424

She married Henry Button in 1823.

Keer Happy Rouse
in the England, Select Marriages, 1538–1973
Name: Keer Happy Rouse
Gender: Female
Marriage Date: 18 Aug 1823
Marriage Place: Saint Mary,Woodbridge,Suffolk,England
Spouse: Henry Button
FHL Film Number: 0919637, 0919638

1841 census says she was born Suffolk c1801; 1851 says Beccles, Suffolk c1802; 1861 says Beccles c1810.

1851 & 1861, she's living with her "sister" Mary Ann. In both censuses Mary Ann is listed as born South Walsham, Norfolk c1794.

In 1871 and 1881 Mary Ann's living with her nephew Jacob Button and his wife, in Woodbridge. She died 1884.

This might be Mary Ann's baptism - so maybe same father as the baptisms posted earlier in this thread, but different mother?

Mary Ann Roas

Is Mary Lane related to Israel's wife Sarah Lane ??

England Deaths and Burials

Burial Date 18 Dec 1795

Given that date of death (assuming he's the right Israel), maybe he married Mary's sister after Mary's death ?? (And moved to Suffolk ??)

Lots of supposition, I know!

Goodness, this is getting complicated! My husbands great grandfather was a Leopold (Leo) Schultze Marsland, b. 1864, his mother was another Mary Ann- Marsland (married name, wondering if she was a Rous?) born in Corton in 1834?
My husband was told, when a child, that he was related to the German soldier buried in Pakefield churchyard, Leopold Sigismund Schultze. The German name seems to have been made a middle name, there a several Mary Ann's, they are several Happys (Kerenhappuch?) lots of the above information fits what we've got so far, but I just can't find the actual link between the soldier b. 1782 in Hanover, and the next Leopold b. 1864 in Chesterfield!
