Hello
I am a descendant of Captian Richard Evans born c 1800 who married a Miss Owen. His son also Captain Richard Evans migrated to Adelaide. I have come to a standstill trying to find my ancestors in Wales. Is anyone out there?
Hopeful Aussie

Just noticed your post and thought I would reply in sympathy!! I too am searching Evans in both North and South Wales and its a nightmare!! Have you got the marriage cert for Richard and Miss Owens? Have you tried FreeBMD which will give you possible partners? Did they marry/live in Wales? Was Richard an Army Captain? Do you know which regiment? If you can find out some of these answers it might make it easier to pin him down. Good luck!
