Hi Maureen
My Grandmother's Gt Grandparents
were from Mayo Ireland. They were called
Ann & John Gargan. Margaret was born in
Birmingham though. I have a hunch that
Edward Moores family would have come
originally from Ireland too.That will be
like looking for a needle in a haystack.
If you have any ideas I would appreciate
it.

Hello Julie,
I found an Edward in the 1871 census with a father called william and a mother Harriet. William was a chair maker it could fit but you dont have much to go on so its difficult, if you know anything more let me know and I will keep a look out while im doing mine. Regards, Maureen

Yes these are my Grandparents. I am really stuck
with Edward. I do not know who his parents were or
when he was born. If you come accross anything
would you let me know?

Hello Julie,
I have found an Edward married to a margaret in the 1881 census, with a son called William aged 1 Edward was 22 and a button turner, and Margaret a button polisher living at court 34 house 3 brearley street Birmingham. Although no relation to me he maybe yours.

My Gt Grandad was called Edward Moore and would
have been born about that date. He lived in Birmingham. Edward married a Margaret Gargan.
Their Daughter Sarah was my Grandma. Do you
have anymore information about this family please?

I think he was allways Jacob,But at one time went by hes middle name Hackett, as on one census he has a son called Jacob H Moore,Where do you come in the tree? Edward was my gt grandad and William was my grandad,

In the 1871 census Edward is listed as living with parents Jacob and Selina yet on his wedding certificate his father is down as Samuel do you know why?

Yes they were Father and son, and Edward was married to Lousia born1858 they had children elizabeth, Harry, Lewis, Marion, and Samuel.

Looking for William born 1885 and Edward born 1858 the family living in Hurst street at one time.
