Yes, that 1901 seems to be wrong on a couple of things. Will order the marriage cert. Thanks all for your help. Lynn.

Well in both 1881 & 1891 he has Bury, Suffolk. It's only 1901 that he's born London. So I'd go for Suffolk.

Getting his marriage cert for father's name would be good.

Ladies, am confused! Where do you think Charles senior was born? On that 1901 census Charles junior was born in Blackfriars too when I have him as born in Christchurch, St. Saviour from his cert.

Lynn Report 27 Feb 2008 21:21

I have put messages out before on this family and would like to thank those that helped but I was on the wrong track.I have been looking for the birth of Charles Frederick Wright in 1879 in Southwark, Surrey. Finally got the correct cert and the father is also Charles Frederick and the mother is Emma. Problem is I cannot find anything on the family apart from 1881 census of Charles senior which looks like them. Got the marriage of Charles and Emma (Thornton) from the i.g.i. Can anyone please find any more than I have? It is such a common name that this family have taken me ages to find. Lynn
