Do you know where she was born. If if is the same Emily Cairns then she was only 15 when she had mum but did not marry grandad until the following year, this may solve some puzzles |

I don't know if this is any connection to your Emily but there is a record of the death of an Emily Cairns in Birkenhead in July 1990. Her date of birth was given as 06.04.1907 |

I am trying to trace my mums birth mother. Believed to be Emily day and then married Richard Turner. Separated and she went on to marry late in life we think in or around Birkenhead. Kearns or Cairns maybe her name. Died I think about 20 years ago |
