i am really struggling to find a birth record for les so any help or info would be great
les wilson was born in about 1922
he signed up in ww2 in 1939 but was under aged think he was living in the ockley area at this time
he gained the nick name bonzo wilson
his mums name was possibly florence lily groombridge b1890 ewhurst
his dads name was possibly john wilson b1895 lancashire
it may be that les is a child of john wilson to another partner or his mum was already called wilson i am open to all suggestions at this point as i have tryed to find records for a les wilson born about 1922+ and are going no where
i am also open to the possibility that les is a shortened name or may be a middle name that he later used for his first name
there was a rumor that les may have been born to winifred isobel wilson but i cant find evidence to back this up. this would mean that les was not my dads uncle (my dad is malcolm leslie strong b1944 haywoods heath) but instead his half brother sharing my dads mum winifred isobel wilson who was born 1920 ewhurst
if you can offer any help or suggestions i would really appriciate it
i really need to find the birth record for les to be able to find his marriage records etc as i know he married a lady called joyce but i dont know her surname or details of les that will enable me to find this record.
i have also been told that les may have died in 2006 on the isle of wight but again i cant locate a death record to back this up
i have been trying to find details of les from all angles and avenues but i just keep going around in circles
