Member Since: March 2005 Posts: 1 Send Message	Trying to find out what happened to John Evan Davies - born Mountain Hare, Merthyr Tydfil 29 Sep 1880. Son of William & Eliza Davies. John Evan married Catherine Davies in 1900 and had at least one son called Haydn b 1900. The 1901 census has John Evan Davies (Colliery Rider) living at Bryn Villa, Mt Hare, Merthyr Tydfil with his parents William & Eliza Davies, wife Catherine and their son Haydn - his younger siblings Hannah, Mary & William. Also his sister Charlotte and her husband Lewis Evans (Coal Hewer) & their children Margaret, William, & Elizabeth - also a lodger David J Thomas. After 1901, I can find no trace of him and I am curious as to what happened to him and his family. There is a vague memory of someone saying that he may have moved to Swansea though how accurate this is, I'm not sure?? If any of these names ring any bells - please let me know or get in touch.
