I am trying to find any information regarding the parents of Alice Lee, my great grandmother. She was born in 1862 and died on 27/2/1944. She married Charles Ketley who was born 1860 and died 16/7/1942. They lived in Good Easter, Essex, England and had 9 children. I have been having trouble find anything on the Lee side as I believe they were Roma (gypsies).
Any information regarding the Lee side would be greatly appreciated.

If you send off for the marriage certificate you could get Alice's father's name.

This may be Alice in the 1871 census --but take the advise of lulabella and send for the marriage cert --


It says Not Known for all their birth places and for Occupation it says Gipsey (that is how the enumerator has spelt it )
All living in Gipsey Caravan in Clay Lane, Shinfield, Berks
