Find Ancestors

I am seeking any information about Blanche Eileen Mitchell also known as Blanche Stringer
She married Arthur Jarvis in 1913 at Chatham Kent.
They were divorced in 1920
I have been unable to trace her in the birth indexes, so Mitchell may not have been he true surname, perhaps she was under 21 when she married? She stated her father was John Mitchell a Sgt Major in the Camerons, unable to trace him either.

Can anyone offer any clues please, thank you.
She had two sons, one Royston Jarvis born 1916 Sheerness Kent
two Gordon Graham Stuart Stringer,
born 1918 Brightlingsea Essex

Have you checked to see if she was born in Scotland? Does her marriage cert say that she was 21 or just 'of full age'?

she may not have been born in this country, if her father was in the services maybe you should check where his regiments were when she was born ?

long shot here but I've found a Blance Mitchell working as a barmaid 1901 census born Aldershot
working at a pub called the Royston Arms in Cambridge

Looks like that one's father was George, Aileen

It seems a coincidence that she lived somewhere named Royston and her second son she named Royston!! (my late husband) wonder if she lived there and got the idea for his name?

I have checked for John Mitchell in the army, but no success.Have also tried Scottish births again no success.

I have now run out of any ideas on how to find her, can only start to think that her name could have been false for some unknown reason, perhaps she was illegitimate, but it would have helped if I had her mothner`s name, but there are no clues to that.

She stated her age was 21 when she married, I have a photo and she does look very young, so I have tried several years previously for a birth, but still no luck!
