Is anyone searching for a family of Youngs who lived at Greenlees Farm Cambuslang during the 1800's. I would love to hear from you.

Hi Susan,
My wife Christine is a second cousin, once removed of Charles Campbell Young.

I had found the marriage of Charles to Margaret Mac Pherson but had not found any children or death certs for Charles or Margaret.

I therefore assumed that they had emigrated.

Charles father died about 2 months before before Charles was born.

Some time later Janet and the children have moved to live with Janets parents at Lochburn Farm, Maryhill.

Perhaps the 1911 census will throw some light on that.

I should explain that while I am very keen on family history Christine is not and I tread carefully.

However we have 4 grand daughtres and I want to pass their FH onto them.

I look forward to hearing from you to ascertain if we are linked with your Youngs.

Regards George

Hello George, you have replied to a very old message and it is doubtful that the poster is looking for replies. You can try clicking on her name and sending your message that way. If she still has the same email address she will be notified.

A good way to search for relatives on here is to put the names you have into the Search Trees box above to see if anyone on this site has them in their tree. If you find a connection, you can contact the tree owner.

Also, if you would like help with your research, then why not start a thread of your own? Take a look at the Help Clinic above left for more info. Cx
