Hi, Don't know if anyone can help me have found him on the 1871 census aged 21 birth place Beverley, Yorkshire but cannot find him on any of the earlier census. Any help would be gratefully recieved as it's driving me mad. |

Yes, his wife was Hannah born grindale, yorkshire. They had twin girls sarah and mary, sarah is my gg grandmother. |

Thanks so much for that you're a star. Bit more advice if you don't mind I have sarah clarks m/c to william patrick but under his fathers name and occupation there is a line through it, does that mean the father is not known or is deceased? |

I have three marriage certificates where the father's name and occupation have been left blank. On all three occasions the child has been illegitimate, and father, presumably, unknown. |
