Hi Jackie, do you have any of the other names on your tree, or do you know if any of your family are from Burnley?

hi. this is my first day at trying the message board. I have only just started getting my tree together. My mums, mums side were Burgess. Born in Poplar and my great grandad was john James Burgess but I cannot as yet find anything about him or find him on any census. All I know is that he was entered on his daughters (my Grandmothers) wedding certificate as a labourer.

Hi Fliss, it's been two years since Michelle posted on here and it is doubtful that she is still checking for replies.

You can try clicking on her name and sending your message that way. If she still has the same email address, she will be notified.

Meanwhile, try putting the names you are researching into the search trees box above to see if anyone else has them in their tree.

You could also start a thread of your own - take a look at the first thread on the Trying to find board for more advice. Cx

Hi,

I'm a Smithies as that was my Mothers name, I have some rather interesting info if you are desended from this family. Email me if you are interested as someone I rrecently met has got back to the 10th century.

Dear Perle and Rachael,

PLEASE read my message just about yours. This is an old thread - almost 3 years old and Michelle has not returned to it since then.

The fairly new Help Clinic - above left - will give you more advice on how to post your own threads if you would like help. Cx
