Hi Gayle

David Fairweather YOUNG died in Sydney in 1951 (reg 16135), he is shown as son of Alexander & Isabella.

He married in 1898 in Sydney to Mary Isabella McDONALD or MACDONALD (reg 128). Chn were Annie I F, Alexander George and Heather E J. Alexander died in 1967 in Sydney; Heather died as MILLER in 1933 in Drummoyne. There may be other children born after 1907.

Mary was born in 1872 in Manning River NSW, dau of George & Jessie nee FINDLEY (reg 12638) and died in Balmain in 1962 (reg 31351).

You can order David's death certificate for A$26 online at www*bdm*nsw*gov*au (replace * with .) It will show spouse and all children. You can also search for marriages of chn at this site.

Yes this looks like its him yes thankyou very very much, Annie young must have been his sister, she was born 09/03/1868

I'm getting a bit confused were his Parents alexander and Isabella or was his mother called Amy or Ann.

He was born in Burghill around 1860 +/- 10yrs I think he was son of Alexander Young and Isabella Cruikshanks. He could have emigrated anytime from 1875 onwards I think, He served 38yrs in the police force before he retired so he must have died sometime after that. Thankyou very much.

I am trying to find out more about David Young, he was born in Scotland then emmigrated to Australia where he joined the police force. Either his mother or his sister was called Annie or Amy.
