Looking for descendants of Walter Baker son of Samuel Baker and Caroline Edwards.
Walter came to London between 1861 anbd 1871. Walter was a Farrier/Blacksmith. In 1871 he was living with Jemima (no marriage record found yet) and their daughter Mary born 1864/65, in Finsbury . Jemima died of tuberculosis in 1872. In 1875 he is living with Emily Webster and they have a son called George. Walter and Emily didn't marry until 1895. They had 11 children - George, a girl who we assumed died as a child, Edward, Willie, Alfred, Emily, Heber, Frank & Frederick (twins), Albert and Charles.
We believe Emily went back to Suffolk and lived in Stowmarket in a beautiful thatched cottage called Waterworks Cottage. I remember visiting the cottage and meeting Emily in the early 1960's. My connection comes through Heber Baker. Heber was my step-father's grandfather.
If anyone is also descended from Walter or has anymore information about his first wife Jemima and their daughter Mary, please get in touch.

Regards
Kim
