If you order Herbert Sheldon Roberts' Birth Certificate it will give the maiden name of his Mother.The GRO reference is Shrewsbury District July Quarter,Volume 6a,Page 674.

Herbert Sheldon Roberts was born in Shrewsbury Shropshire in c 1870,and is in Manchester in 1871,showing as the son of a William Roberts born in Montgomeryshire in c 1838,and his Wife Mary Ann given as born in Caernarvonshire in c 1831.

When did they leave Wales?

Trying to find relatives and Ancestors of Herbert Sheldon Roberts and Jane Hilda Roberts (nee Blackshaw). They had several children, Ida Roberts born about 1896
Claude Herbert Roberts born about 1897
Alfred Sheldon Roberts born 1899
Eva Alexandra Roberts born 1901
Albert Stanley Roberts born 1905 and
Hilda Phyllis Roberts born 1907

Herberts Parents and siblings were born in Wales and then the family appear to have moved to Manchester/Salford.

I am the grandson of Eva Alexandra Roberts and have found the children and grandchildren of Hilda Phyllis and would like to find more. The families settled around the Manchester and Salford areas but I dont know any more than that. Any help would be gratefully received.
