There's a tree on Ancestry that suggests he is Joseph in 1910. Mother is Margaret nee Daily. Maybe this could be where you got the Dale connection?

Anyway, as I said earlier, Woodrow was extremely rare before 1912 so he was probably born under another name.

I have to wonder if he were actually born a Woodrow?

Woodrow didn't become popular until 1912 when Woodrow Wilson was elected president. There are no Woodrow Kell*ys born before this. I suspect he was actually given another name initially.

This does not tie in with the birth months you listed as the 1930 census was supposed to reflect the individual's status on April 1st.

also i amd still looking for any infomation on Nellie Irene Kelly (nee Johnson born c1914) who later went on & took a seconed husband called Raymond Kramer or Krammer

I am still being told Woodrow Dale Kelly was born c1902 and was about 10 years older then (Nellie Irene Johnson (maiden name) then became Nellie Irene Kelly and later became Nellie Irene Kramer or Krammer.

I would like to ask something? Here is why...
I have been led to think that Woodrow and Nellie had split up and went in different direction in 1940. I see from you infomation he was married in 1943.

My Question is
Can we findout who he married and when and where he married?

Thank you for looking that up for me. It's does sound like the same Woodrow Kelly. The only thing i see differently is his year of birth, you have it as 1912 but i think it was 1902. I am being told that Nellie Johnson was about 16 when she married Woodrow Kelly he was about 26 when he married Nellie Johnson. I'll see if i can find any dates on marridge or death cert's for him now. thank you.

It's Nelly Irene Kelly i have trouble with. She seems to have vanished off the earth, mind you so did Woodrow, lol. I know she married after she split from Woodrow to a man called Raymond Kramer or Krammer, i don't know when or where she was married. I know nothing about her after her and Woodrow split, I am still digging so if i find anything i'll let you know.

If anybody can shed anything that might help with this, it would be great.

UPDATE.
Woodrow Dale Kelly born around 12th June 1902 in Pennsyvainia Married Nellie Irene Johnson born 13th October 1912 in Pennsylvainia, or so i'm told.
Together they had a son Thomas R Kelly in c1937

This is what i have been told... As time went on Woodrow and Nellie splitup and parted when Thomas was about 3 years old, so that would about 1940ish However Woodrow later married who or when and where, i don't know? , but it was in USA. Somebody did say that Woodrows last known address was in Chattanooga, Tennessee. I would like to find as much as i can on the Kelly family as poss.

What we need now is for Lisa J, who is in California, to drop in and give you the details of what that 1930 census household says.

I'll dig her up by private message if she isn't heard from in the next day or two -- poke me by posting here again if we haven't heard anything.

She'll also see what she can do about tracking those Kelleys backwards in the censuses, if I know her. ;)

I'm quite sure that someone named Elmer was a native-born USAmerican ;) -- but behind him you might find your immigrant ancestor.

He is the one that married Nellie Irene Johnson at some point, And they had a child Thomas Richard Kelly 1936. I no they seperated and Nellie married a Raymond Kramer in about 1951 but thats all i know.
I would be greatful for any info on Kellys i might be related to. I do know the father of Woodrow Kelly was called Elmer Kelly and South Hunntington was said about somewhere, but thats all i know.

If you're looking for his ancestry, that would be a good place to start -- it will give you his parents' names and names of any siblings living in the household.

Duh, of course then I remember the tricks, and search for all Kelleys in Burgettstown in 1930:

The fact that some show "location" (I can't see what the location is) next to their names suggests they weren't born in Pennsylvania.

Have you tracked those people back through censuses?
