James Young born in Cambusleng, Blantyre, Scotland, married Helen Lawrie Pettigrew Gourlie, had at least one daughter Maraget born 1886 who later married John douglas born 1881. Margaret imm to New Zealand after husband died. Any information on James or other offspring they may have had it would be most apprepraited.

This birth is showing specifically for Cambuslang but you really do need the marriage certificate to be sure.

Have some latest info:
James was born 7 Feb 1856, Hamilton, Scotland to parents Thomas Young and Susan (Grieg). Any information on parents would be great, I now know that James was an only child.
