A C Walker, (my late father) born Blockley 1916.Married Lucy Freda Coates, during WW2. in Chalford church. Gloucestershire.
Stationed in Egypt in the war.
There was family falling out, and I know very little about this side of my family. There was a half sister who died in her 30s.
If this rings a bell with anyone...please contact me. I'm trying to fill in blanks in my history!

I didn't know "Shipston". He was born Feb, so that tallies with the registration the following month.

I don't suppose anyone knows his father's name? Dad didn't talk about his family...

Shipston upon Stour registration district is in Warwickshire, it did cover Blockley.

To find the name of your grandfather you will have to buy a copy of either your fathers marriage certificate or his birth certificate.

If you get their marriage certificate it should have their fathers names. then you can confirm his birth certificate

I wasn't sure of the year of marriage...except that it was during the war as there is an "air raid shelter" sign on the church.
