Info I have already:
Christina McLagan died in Zeehan TAS Australia in 1897 because of the birth of her Son Harold who also died 1897 after birth.... She married William Wakefield Richardson in Zeehan Tas in 1895... She aslo had a daughter Lillian 1896....
In the Archives Office of Tasmania web site it says she was born in Victoria Australia in 1868

What I'm missing:
Is the date of her birth??
suburb or place of birth... ? (more info than VIC Aus)
Who her parents were??

If you could help me Victorian records it would be a great help..
Thank You

Also checked NSW on the off chance...no luck.
No McLagan's born there at all between 1860 and 1870.
Are you 100% sure of the spelling. Have you seen any varitions in your search ?

Checked the site, it gives very little info.
Do you have , or could you get, her marriage certificate ?
It should have her fathers name (at least) and we might be able to find her family that way.

Just a thought...
She was about 27 when she married William Richardson ,
could it have been a second marriage and Mc Lagan is actually her married name ??

I think I've found her ! ! !

Christina Mary Mc Leggan b. 1867 Maldon
Daughter of James Mc L. & Mary Ann Foster
sister of James Alexander b. 1863 Sand.

Spelling is slightly wrong but..
There was no further mention of any Mc Leggan's in Victoria, births to 1920. Marriages to 1942 and deaths to 1985.
So, I would say a possible spelling mistake and this family possibly went to Tasmania.

Just checked Tassie web site.

James McLagan married, Mary Ann Foster in 1872 in Hobart .
Children : Ellen Mc Lagan b. 1872
& Kate Isabel Mc Leggen b. 1878

James Alexander Mc Lagan (b. 1864 Bendigo)
married 1898, Hobart; Esther Louisa Tyler
