Trying to find any details of the Thompson family from Alnwick in Northumberland at the turn of the 19th century and early 20th century.

Particularly seeking details of Elsie Thompson born c1918.

Any details at all would be greatly appreciated, at the present moment I am completely lost.

Dear Peter
I have just discovered that James Thompson b 1837 In Alnwick is my G G G Grandfather.
BUT there were two born in Alnwick in c 1837 and I am just about to send for a marriage cert of his marriage to Louisa Bridge in 1861 in KENT.to find out which one.
James was a coach painter and moved to kent.
Who does your Elsie belong to?

I Have a William Thompson born 1811 married to Margaret.

He was, I understand head shoemaker at Alnwick Castle.

Dear Valerie
I have just received my marriage cert for James THompson b1837 and his father was a Thomas Thompson b 1801 Alnwick and his occupation was a Shoemaker or cordwainer.
I wondered if their could be a connection of our families.
He had a son called William too.
