Thanks for that. Yes, I already have the information back from the Census returns from Llanelly. The reason that they moved around is that John Martin b. 1801 was a coastguard and was posted to different stations or a frequent basis. When he retired from the Burry Port station he became a publican at the Oddfellows Arms in Llanelly. The big gap is Solomon - did he get married ? if so, where ? How did he end up in New Zealand ? Where where the children born ? etc.

I'm looking for information about Solomon Martin. He was born in South Wales and was christened at Pembrey, Carmarthen 11.4.1847. He was a shipwright by trade and I know that he ended up in New Zealand. I also know that he had two children - Margaret & John but that is all that I know ! Any information on his marriage or death, or of the birth of his children etc. would be very welcome.
