William Thomas - head - 40 - brass flute caster - Birmingham
Ellen Thomas - wife - 32 - retired spin worker - Birmingham
Frederick Thomas - son - 12 - scholar - Birmingham
Lillie Thomas - dau - 10 - Birmingham
Clara Ann Thomas - dau - 10 mons. - Birmingham

Please be aware that the job descriptions are just my translation of what is written (not very clearly).

Ancestry.co.uk has all the censuses from 1841 - 1901 plus quite a few other things. I think most people would agree that it was the best site, if you can only join one. Take a look at it. It will tell you the cost.

Hi Anita

I have access to the census records through Ancestry.co.uk.

The 1901 census was taken on the night of 31 March 1901.

It looks as if your Williams was born in Sep qtr 1901 as follows so wouldn' appear in the 1901 census:

Births Sep 1901

THOMAS William George Birmingham 6d 46

(Lady Wood comes under the Brimingham Registration area )
