Forgot to add the 1930 census says they've been married 10 years so that bit fits.

Looks like the image says husb. Thomas in faint writing. Another column looks like husb Frank?

The ancestry image of the passenger list for Ada does say 164 - my mistake!

It says under the 'If Naturalized' section - 'By marriage'

Bit of a long shot and not much information I'm afraid

My mother born 1919 out of wedlock (her mother already married although not living with husband) always told me she had two half sisters who she never met that lived in USA.

Have the marriage cert of grandmother (mum's mother) Susan Matilda Fosker to Frederick Stanley Cox 1st Oct 1899 Clerkenwell.

1901 census Susan & Frederick have a daughter Ada Pretoria Cox born 1900. Have birth cert for Ada Pretoria with correct parents born 21st May 1900. This is the elder of my mum's half sisters.

But I have no idea when she went to America. I can't find her on the passenger list under her maiden name, and the couple of marriages I have found for Ada P Cox in the right area at the right time (1920-1925) don't seem to be on the passenger lists either.
I wonder if it would be possible to look up anything at all for Ada Pretoria Cox in the hope that she arrived in America under that name.

Thanks to anyone who is prepared to take a look..

Sue
