My search for my great aunt Nellie Parker has had some success - at last!

Because the 1901 census shows very clearly that she was born in Bristol, and not being able to find any record in Bristol, I had given up hope of finding her birth records - especially having been told that some of the Bristol records were lost during the War. I kept checking regularly and, on checking FreeBMD births again yesterday, have now discovered she was born in Bath - not Bristol!!!

Her full birth name was Nellie Priscilla Parker and she was born in the September quarter of 1894 to Albert Edward and Mary Rachel Parker.

If there is anyone out there who recognises this lady as possibly being their grandmother I would love to hear from them.
