Her name was Mabel Dorothy Roberts.
She was born c Sept 1910 died Sept 1947 aged 36. Her married name was Westlake.
Have been stuck with this for months.
Help very much appreciated.

Basically there were no official adoptions until 1927 so any before that were just neighbours or friends/family taking on a child.

What are the details re your gran - give us them and we can try to help.

Could anyone advice how to go about looking up adoptions around 1910 please? Am really stuck with the where abouts of my Grandmothers birth in 1910.
