He died in 1942 aged 72 in Kilburn he was we think a retired postman. He is on my grandmothers marraige certificate as her father and a pensioner. Unfortunatly my nan Mabel Dorothy Roberts can't be found on the birth c1910. She died in 1946 aged 36.
I looked for months my sister and I on a couple of sites and no luck

Ok - lets get back to the beginning (or the end, so to speak)

When and where did Charles die, how old was he and what was his occupation.

Did he have any children? If so, can you give us the name and approximate date/place of birth of at least one of them? The birth record will have the mother's maiden name listed if it was after 1911.

On my greatgrand fathers death certificate his widow is down as M (could be A as 2nd initial) Roberts.
However they are very elusive and can not find the on the 1901 census.
Have found 2 marraiges for a Charles William Roberts and am unsure which one to go for if indeed it is him.
One Charles is married to a Mary Ann Smith
Another Charles is married to a Mary Ann Townsend.
Has any of you members got these ladies on your tree married to Charles William Roberts.
I am really close to giving up here!
