Member Since: December 2004 Posts: 29 Send Message	First of all. Thank you to Sam From Stoke for helping get on the track to finding my Maternal Great grandmothers family. I've found loads more. Cheers! Now for another! My Maternal Great Great Grandfather Alexander Cross was born in Tavistock 1875. In 1894 he married Polly Laura Roberts born in E.Stonehouse 1874. Alexander Cross died in Tavistock 1906 at the age of 31 by which time they had already had 9 children!! (2 deceased in infancy). I found a record on www.freebmd.co.uk stating that Pollie Laura Cross married William Henry Davis in Tavistock 1907 (note the change of spelling for her first name) but can find no other records for him. My gran remembers a relative called Bill Davis and she remembers him maybe having a Welsh accent. I have found a daughter, Alice G. Davis b 1913 (definate as mothers maiden name was listed- Roberts) and maybe two sons Francis Henry Davis b 1910 and William John Davis b 1908. All were born in Tavistock As I am not entirely sure about this I was just wondering if anyone had any helpful Info as no census records for them will be availble for a few years yet!!!!! Any info gratefully received.
