Have just seen Hannah's Marriage Certificate - her father was James Green Labourer - witnesses to her marriage were Mary Ann & Willaim Patrick.
Hannah's age 25 would make dob 1830.

Names billy not silly sylvia have been checking tree's for donkeys years (Aus Humor). And I don't expect someone else to do all the work for me, have been at this for years. The idea of the message boards, is that someone else may just have more info and point you in the right direction. Have sent for certificates over the years only to be none the wiser, but have also found extended family that were only to happy to help, and many other researchers that just like to help. If you do not please do not bother yourself. But a big thanks to all those others out there who do!!

you have a different philosphy from me!!

You actually are hoping someone else will have done the work for you.

I prefer to do it for myself ..... and I like to have the proof in the form of the certificate.

If you want to find someone who has them in their tree(s) ..... why not search the trees on here. Just look at the top of the screen and click on Search Trees.

Yes, but I might also find the right family, through someone who has them in their tree. Marriage cert only has father, and also sometimes not named. Have successfully found the right family though others who recognize details many times, so do not put people off, saying you need marriage certf. many times people send for marriage certf only to be disappointed when it does not help. I like to have as much info as possible. I know there are others out there who have these families in their tree, and they just might have the marriage cetf also, as has happened before. So try all avenues before sending for the certificate!!!

you need those marriage certificates to get anywhere with any certainty . otherwise you're making assumptions that could well be false.
